How to Write a Resume With No Experience

If you are applying for your first job, your resume should not apologize for missing experience. It should show proof from education, projects, skills, certifications and responsibility.

Start with evidence you already have

Professional experience is only one kind of evidence. Freshers can use college projects, final-year work, internships, hackathons, certifications, volunteering and portfolio links.

Choose the evidence that matches the job. A software fresher should lead with projects and technical skills. A commerce fresher may lead with Excel, accounting projects or internship work.

Use projects instead of fake experience

A good project section explains what you built, the problem it solved, your contribution and the tools used. This is more useful than inventing an internship.

For example: Built an expense tracker using React, category filters and local storage to help users record spending by category.

Keep the resume one page

Most no-experience resumes should fit one page. Use short sections, avoid long objectives and remove unrelated achievements.

Inside Vinverses Resume, choose a project-first or campus template when your work experience is limited.
